Our platform wants to provide you all information to improve your Tango dancing experience: festivals, Milongas, Practicas, Classes, Places and People. Articles, blogs, videos and photo galleries. Tango-Club is open for everyone who is into tango: Dancers, teachers, DJs, event Organizers and Bloggers.
Currently, our events calendar is still incomplete. Please help us to verify the data, enter new events and put us in touch with the organizers. Let´s build up a world-wide up-to-date Tango event calendar. Join Tango-Club for free and publish everything related to Tango.
We have created some data for testing purposes. In case you find your profile already on the page, inform us and we send you the access information so you change your data. Naturally, we can assist you with data entry.
And the best part is: The use of the site is free.
Yes, Tango-Club does not charge you a single penny, just like you know it from Facebook or MySpace. In a few months, we will eventually create the possibility to sign-up for premium accounts. Tango professionals can use these account for additional functions and special advertising opportunities, against a small monthly fee.
But: The basic functions will always be free for all. There are no hidden costs and no hidden clauses: The premium membership will be activated upon request, and can be canceled at any time.
If your are a Tanguera or Tanguero, who is just generally interested in tango, there is the possibility to register as a "blogger". You can create your personal blogger page and write blog entries on whatever comes to your mind regarding Tango: Personal observations, CD reviews, travel stories, tips for milongas, etc.
When you sign up, choose the role "teacher". Your login data will be sent to you by email. Then enter your profile, preferably with photo and video. If you've added a photo, your profile will now appear on the home page and the regional sites.
Please consider the following - In order to give site visitors a better overview, we distinguish clearly between a single profile, a dancing couple and a dance school. Learn more about this issue in the next question.
The condition is that you have already created a profile with the role of "dance teacher". Then click "create content" in the right sidebar and choose "couples ".
Enter as title the name of the dance couple (for example: Fritz & Fritzie). Complete the couple profile, including a photo. Now you can add 2 persons to couple. You add them by typing the first letters of a name in the combo box, then a selection will be displayed (auto complete function).
If your dance partner does not yet have a Tango-Club user, he or she can create it. If you want to create the user, you'll have to log off first, then you can create another user. You can use the same e-mail as the one you choose for your own account.
As a general rule: The more data you enter, the more visibility you get: We have sections, which display only teachers, others where only couples are shown.
If you have more than one dance partner, you can create several dance couples.
When uploading photos make sure they match the contents: A portrait for the personal profile, a couple photo for the couple, a logo or a team photo for the dance school, etc.
Chose a "School" in the "create content" section.
You can assign an unlimited number of teachers and couples to this school.
You can create a school anytime, once you have created your user and are logged-in as a "teacher" or "organizer".
Go to "Create content" on the right side and choose "events". Within each event you find the option to make a unique event or an event series (repetitive event), e.g. each Thursday.
Each event needs an event location, in order to be connected to an event region and appear on the regional pages. Create the location, using the "crate content" section, and then connect location and event.
Several events can be connected to one location, so you can save time when you create new events.
We make an effort to have the most accurate and up-to-date information on our site. However, not all data is current and complete. If you see erroneous data, please contact us, or inform the organizer if you know them.
Since we are just starting, advertising on our site is free for the time being. You can't create a user with the role of "commerce". You`ll receive an email and now can login to create a personal and a business profile. You can upload photos and define product categories (shoes, CDs, etc.)
We have a special user role for musicians you can select upon registering.
As a musician, you can create events. In addition, dance schools and other organizers can add you to their events, if you perform at their venue. So make sure, you have a complete profile with photo and video.
When entering your description and uploading the photos, beware of the difference between "musician" and "Music Group". The music group is described in the next step.
You should have already a profile with the role of "musician" or "organizer". Then click "create content" and choose "music group".
Enter the name of the group as title. (e.g.: "Trio Los Tangueros"). Complete the group's profile, including photo and video. Now you can add musicians to the group- You add them by typing the first letters of a name in the combo box, then a selection will be displayed (auto complete function).
If some members of the group have no user account so far, they should be created to provide all information on the group members. If you want to create the user yourself, you'll have to log off first, and then you can create another user. You can use the same email for several users.
During sign-up, choose the role of "organizer". This gives you access to all relevant functions such as: create events and locations, music groups, dance couples, etc.
Choose the role of "DJ" during sign-up. This allows you to crate your personal profile, events and locations. In addition, other organizers can add you as a DJ to their event.
Our goal is to maintain a comprehensive listing of all events and persons of the tango world. Therefore, we have uploaded a series of data ourselves. If you do not want your data to appear here, use the contact form at the bottom of the page and let us know, and we will remove the data. If you want to change the data, we are happy to give you access to the data.
